MAXIMUS Foundation UK Awards Grant to Information and Advice Service

10 August 2017

We are delighted to have received a generous grant of £2,500 from MAXIMUS Foundation UK to fund our Information and Advice service.

Nominated by a member of staff who has a daughter with autism, we are thrilled to have been chosen by the company’s charitable foundation to benefit from the funding.

Karen Wilmshurst, Advocacy Services Manager said; “A big thank you to MAXIMUS Foundation UK and their staff for their fantastic support! Our Information and Advice service has seen a continued surge in demand over the last 12 months with hundreds of local people reaching out for advice and support. It is thanks to the generosity of our supporters that we can run and invest in this vital community service.”

Robert Winter, Chair of MAXIMUS Foundation UK said; “As a cause close to the heart of one of our employees, we are really pleased to be able to support Autism Wessex. We recognise the importance of having somewhere that anyone can go to for free advice and support. It’s clear that this really can be the difference between someone coping and not coping.”

Our Information and Advice service is available to anyone affected by autism. Providing free and impartial guidance and support on matters ranging from diagnosis and behaviour to employment and housing, our specialist advisors can be contacted by telephone on 01305 213135 or by email at
