by Val Thomas | 28th March 2017
We are delighted to announce a new programme of training
packages which can be accessed by anyone interested in learning more about creating
supportive environments for people with Autism in the workplace.
World Autism Awareness day is celebrated on 2nd April each
year and allows autism charities from across the globe to put the spotlight on
autism. Autism Wessex uses this opportunity to raise awareness of this often
invisible condition by running their Big Brekkie campaign. The charity is
calling on local individuals and businesses to host their own breakfast events
and raise money for the charity whilst also raising vital awareness. It is also
an opportunity to remind people how ‘invisible’ this condition is and how
likely it is people will have colleagues who are directly, or indirectly
affected by autism. Improving your own knowledge could have a hugely positive
impact for your workforce. Whether you
are an autism professional or work in a different sector, Autism Wessex have a
suitable training programme for you and your teams.
The Charity employs a best-in-class training team who undergo a comprehensive
assessment process and continual monitoring of their teaching performance.
Their wide-ranging course list is delivered internally and to the wider
community and can be found here.
